Muscles are the final common expresses of pain be it joint, nerve, bone or organ. Dry needling involves insertion of hair thin, solid needles in the muscles which are in spasm. The needles are kept in place for 20-30 minutes and then taken out. This treatment is carried out in sessions. It usually requires at least 8-10 sessions for complete pain relief. It can be used as sole treatment modality or in combination with other treatments.
